MRI Technologist - Per Diem

About the role

The MRI Technologist provides high-quality MRI imaging following physician orders, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the MRI room and operate equipment per safety standards.
• Process images and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Perform diagnostic tests and position patients appropriately.
• Evaluate image quality and provide patient education across all age groups.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Ensure safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to contrast reactions.
• Adhere to safety and infection control policies.
• Accurately input patient data into the computer system and verify patient identification.
• Document procedures properly.
• Participate in team communication and maintain a clean workspace.
• Follow regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Radiologic Technologist Certification or ARRT MRI Certification required.
• Washington Radiologic Technologist license and Basic Life Support certification needed.
• Knowledge of MRI procedures, radiation safety, infection control, and patient care.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of MRI experience.
• Experience with cross-sectional anatomy.
