About the role
The MRI Technologist provides high-quality MRI imaging following physician orders, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the MRI room and operate equipment per safety standards.
- Process images and maintain supplies and equipment.
- Perform diagnostic tests and position patients appropriately.
- Evaluate image quality and provide patient education across all age groups.
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Ensure safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to contrast reactions.
- Adhere to safety and infection control policies.
- Accurately input patient data into the computer system and verify patient identification.
- Document procedures properly.
- Participate in team communication and maintain a clean workspace.
- Follow regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Radiologic Technologist Certification or ARRT MRI Certification required.
- Washington Radiologic Technologist license and Basic Life Support certification needed.
- Knowledge of MRI procedures, radiation safety, infection control, and patient care.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of MRI experience.
- Experience with cross-sectional anatomy.
