MRI Technologist - Part Time (Night Shift)

Role Overview This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily MRI, in a fast-paced hospital environment. The technologist will prepare patients and equipment, independently conduct studies, and assist with complex exams. They will oversee shift operations, manage workflow, and serve as a clinical resource and mentor for staff and students. In the absence of supervisors, they assume leadership responsibilities and ensure optimal department functioning. Responsibilities Include Preparing patients and equipment for procedures.Performing imaging studies independently, including portable and on-call exams.Managing daily shift activities, workflow, and prioritizing tasks.Providing problem-solving, mentorship, and support to colleagues.Communicating effectively with team members and maintaining supplies. Qualifications And Skills Associate degree or Trade School equivalency.2-5 years of relevant experience; supervisory experience preferred.Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and/or MR.Licenses such as IEMA for Illinois (excluding MRI), along with certifications like RTR, CT, MR, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES.Preferred experience includes 5-10 years in advanced imaging roles.CPR certification is advantageous.
