MRI Technologist (Part-Time)

About the role

This position requires flexibility and the ability to travel between Rhode Island Medical Imaging's clinical sites. The schedule includes Monday-Thursday shifts from 4:00 PM-9:00 PM at the Cranston site and Saturday or Sunday shifts from 7:30 AM-3:30 PM at the East Greenwich site.

Responsibilities

• Perform and ensure appropriate quality control of MRI examinations.
• Provide requested films of high diagnostic quality based on the specifics of each case.
• Interact effectively and professionally with patients, referring physicians/their staff, and fellow employees while maintaining optimal patient flow and throughput.

Requirements

• Physical dexterity and strength to operate MRI equipment, position patients, and handle patient films and files.
• Conceptual ability to determine appropriate means of providing requested studies based on case specifics.
• Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients under various conditions, including physical and emotional stress.
• Organizational skills necessary for compiling and interpreting data.
• Analytical skills necessary for the compilation and interpretation of data.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide proper patient care.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to perform MRI exams as outlined by governing bodies and Rhode Island Medical Imaging (RIMI) protocol.
• Bilingual (Spanish/Portuguese) preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be ARRT registered and certified in MRI.
• At least IV years of relevant experience.

Prorated based on core hours.
