About the role
This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily MRI, on adult and pediatric patients for diagnosis and treatment. The technologist will prepare patients and equipment, operate independently, and assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving. They will oversee daily shift operations, mentor staff and students, and serve as a clinical resource and liaison.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and equipment for procedures
- Perform studies independently, including portable exams and on-call situations
- Manage shift workflows, assignments, and escalations
- Mentor staff and assist with difficult exams
- Ensure proper communication and supplies within the department
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Trade School equivalency
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and/or MR
- 2–5 years of experience; preferred 5–10 years
- Licenses such as IEMA (excluding MRI), ARRT, and additional certifications as applicable
- CPR certification preferred for senior roles
