About the role
The MRI Tech III is an advanced-level professional responsible for performing complex MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to MRI safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Operate MRI equipment and implement advanced imaging techniques.
- Assess and manage patients with medical implants such as pacemakers and electronic devices, ensuring safe imaging practices.
- Provide compassionate patient care, especially for those with claustrophobia, by implementing comfort measures.
- Exercise independent judgment while adhering to safety guidelines under supervision.
- Stay updated with technological advancements and new imaging methods.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, including screening for contraindicated implants.
- Collaborate with radiologists and supervisors to deliver high-quality imaging services.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Certification by ARRT (MRI), ARMRIT, or NMTCB required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive MRI experience with expertise in cross-sectional anatomy.
- Advanced MRI certification and BLS certification preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of MRI physics, biological effects, and safety protocols.
- Ability to adapt to technological changes and demonstrate excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
