Responsibilities

• Produces quality diagnostic MRI exams in a safe and timely manner in conjunction with quality patient care.
• Uses correct scan protocols to optimize image quality while minimizing scan length and repeat procedures.
• Demonstrates knowledge of patient positioning and coil selection.
• Screen patients, families, and staff for pregnancy and MRI contraindications.
• Adheres to safety recommendations regarding MRI.
• Maintains the work area and troubleshoots malfunctioning equipment.
• Complies with all relevant regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Developed knowledge to perform diagnostic scans as directed by Radiologists.
• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college program or technical school, or nursing diploma.
• Direct experience of 2 years.
• ARRT – MRI Specialist certification.
