Responsibilities
- Produces quality diagnostic MRI exams in a safe and timely manner in conjunction with quality patient care.
- Uses correct scan protocols to optimize image quality while minimizing scan length and repeat procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge of patient positioning and coil selection.
- Screen patients, families, and staff for pregnancy and MRI contraindications.
- Adheres to safety recommendations regarding MRI.
- Maintains the work area and troubleshoots malfunctioning equipment.
- Complies with all relevant regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Developed knowledge to perform diagnostic scans as directed by Radiologists.
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college program or technical school, or nursing diploma.
- Direct experience of 2 years.
- ARRT – MRI Specialist certification.
