About the Role
St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring an MRI Technologist for our Radiology department located within the Covington hospital.
Scheduled Hours: 36 hours biweekly, Full-Time, Saturday & Sunday 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Perform all technical aspects of MRI procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation
- Ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff throughout all examinations
- Administer contrast and utilize pressure injectors in accordance with established protocols
- Obtain and document required consents and patient history, including any previous contrast reactions
- Maintain compliance with infection control, HIPAA, and all applicable safety regulations
- Responsible for accurate documentation, procedure coding and charging
- Maintain department cleanliness and supplies
- Utilize required computer systems
- Provide exceptional patient care while demonstrating the clinical knowledge and technical skills necessary to meet organizational, state, federal, and accreditation standards
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support departmental operations
Requirements
- Current CPR certification
- Graduate of an approved accredited program of Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- Registered by the ARRT (MR) or the American Registry of MRI Technologists (ARMRIT) OR complete ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT (MR) within 27 months of job assignment
- Complete MR competency checklist within first 90 days of job assignment
- Complete ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT (MR) certification within 2 years of competency checklist completion
- State Licensure is NOT required by the state of Kentucky or Indiana because this job is a non-radiation producing position
Skills & Experience
- Effective communication skills
- Proven competency to inject intravenous contrast agents
- Advanced knowledge of cross-section anatomy
- Adequate clinical experience from an approved program
