About the Role
An MRI Technologist II performs routine and specialized MRI imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality, safe patient care in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Conducts MRI exams, selects appropriate technical settings, and administers contrast agents.
- Supports invasive procedures and maintains safety protocols.
- Participates in quality improvement, patient education, and departmental workflows.
- Ensures equipment functionality, manages supplies, documents procedures, and reports issues.
- Transports and prepares patients, verifies orders, and communicates effectively to promote patient comfort.
- Maintains compliance with safety, regulatory, and ethical standards, including MR safety and organizational policies.
- Documents patient care activities and processes images for interpretation.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or accredited radiologic/MRI certificate.
- 3-4 years of MRI experience.
- Certifications such as ARMRIT or ARRT (MRI) are mandatory.
- BLS certification.
Skills
- Knowledge of MRI principles, anatomy, patient positioning, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively under stress.
- Strong communication skills.
