About the Role
The CT (Computed Tomography) Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards. The CT Technologist must also effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.
Responsibilities
- Operate CT imaging equipment to perform diagnostic procedures.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Maintain high-quality imaging standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Perform duties in a manner reflecting Mercy's values of love and concern for others.
- Demonstrate respect, helpfulness, courtesy, and friendliness to patients, visitors, and colleagues.
- Act as a cooperative and industrious team member for the welfare of patients and the medical center.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information.
Requirements
- Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training.
- A.R.R.T. registered or registry eligible upon hire, with A.R.R.T. certification achieved within six months of employment.
- Preferred: ARRT Advanced Level certification in CT Scan or working towards certification.
- Experience deemed adequate for the position.
