About the Role
Seeking an MRI Technologist responsible for performing high-quality MRI examinations using advanced equipment, including 3T, mobile, and upright MRI scanners. The role involves operating MRI systems safely, preparing and educating patients across all age groups, adhering to safety protocols, and collaborating with healthcare team members to deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic MRI scans with accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure patient comfort, safety, and proper positioning during procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow safety standards
- Monitor and respond to patient needs during exams
- Assist in equipment maintenance and quality control
- Collaborate with medical staff to optimize imaging services
- Support departmental operations and adapt to new processes
- Maintain equipment and ensure safety and quality standards
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program
- ARRT (R) registration required; ARMRIT registration preferred (must obtain within 1 year if not already)
- South Carolina Radiation License required
- Current BLS certification
- 0-2 years of modality-specific experience, with some X-ray experience preferred
- Excellent communication and computer literacy skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Physical ability to lift patients and equipment, stand, walk, and perform fine motor tasks
- Sensory acuity and ability to work in various environments
