About the Role
The CT (Computed Tomography) Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role involves operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards. The CT Technologist must effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.
Responsibilities
- Operate CT imaging equipment to perform diagnostic procedures.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Maintain high-quality imaging standards and accurate records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members.
- Adhere to Mercy Values, demonstrating respect, teamwork, and confidentiality.
- Perform duties with honesty, impartiality, and creativity for the welfare of patients and the medical center.
Requirements
- Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training.
- A.R.R.T. registered or registry eligible upon hire; A.R.R.T. certification must be achieved within six months of employment.
- Preferred: ARRT Advanced Level certification in CT Scan or working toward certification.
- Experience deemed adequate for the position.
