About the role
Perform high-quality MRI procedures in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans efficiently, ensuring proper patient positioning, coil selection, and adherence to protocols.
- Identify patients accurately, communicate about safety, and obtain necessary clinical history and consent.
- Prepare the scan room, maintain cleanliness, and manage supplies and contrast materials within scope.
- Implement emergency procedures when needed and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Accurately document procedures and data, perform quality control on equipment, and stay updated on departmental changes.
- Provide clinical instruction to staff and students, and assist in scheduling and workflow coordination.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- At least 1 year of MRI technologist experience or completion of an MRI clinical rotation.
- ARRT registration in Radiology & MRI, or ARMRIT certification.
- Current BLS certification preferred; required within 3 months of hire.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of imaging protocols and patient safety.
- Effective communication and teamwork in a clinical environment.
