Location: Milwaukee, WI (Froedtert Hospital) – on-site position.
About the Role
Performs MRI studies under the direction of a radiologist. This individual interacts with imaging staff, nursing, physicians, patients, and visitors. Acts as a resource person for technical and safety-related needs. Demonstrates competence according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols. Operates and prepares MRI scanner and MRI-specific equipment, maintains images, and archives associated with patient data.
This position is eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus, a $4.50/hour position differential, and a $2.25/hour 2nd shift differential on top of base pay.
Schedule
- FTE: 0.875 (35 standard hours per week)
- Shift: Shift 3 (Every other week: Mon–Fri 9p–6a, Sat & Sun 6p–6a)
- Holidays: Required as part of 7/70 schedule
- Weekends: Required as part of 7/70 schedule
- No call required
Requirements
- Graduate of a JRCERT, JRCMNT, or JRCDMS-approved program (required)
- 2–4 years of college/university coursework and/or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare-related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience (preferred); clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one year of current clinical experience
- Primary credential through ARDMS, ARRT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB (required)
- Advanced Certification through ARMRIT or ARRT(MR) (required within 18 months of hire)
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) (required within 90 days of hire)
- Completes Level II MR Safety training
- MRI-specific training will occur in the department; credits required for the MRI Advanced Certification exam are the responsibility of the employee
