Position Summary
Performs routine MRI procedures on a scheduled and emergency basis, ensuring a safe environment for patients while adhering to departmental QC and data integrity standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine MRI scans, selecting appropriate equipment and technical parameters to accurately identify anatomy.
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop care plans, and explain procedures to patients and families.
- Create a supportive environment by responding to patient and family needs.
- Review examination requests, abstract patient data, and determine procedure appropriateness based on diagnosis.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate's Degree in Allied Health (Bachelor's preferred).
- Current or eligible for MRI registry with ARRT; must complete within 18 months if eligible.
- Preferred: MA Radiologic Technologist license and BLS certification.
