About the role
Operates MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images, performs routine procedures, and assists physicians and staff.
Responsibilities
- Prepares patients, adjusts equipment, and instructs on procedures, including IV contrast administration.
- Performs MRI scans accurately, coordinates schedules, and assesses exam completion.
- Supports staff and student training, maintains records, and ensures compliance with accreditation and safety standards.
- Provides detailed reports, consults with medical personnel, and monitors patient condition during exams.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a recognized radiologic technology program.
- ARRT Radiography certification required; MRI certification preferred.
- Less than 1 year of radiologic and MRI terminology, practices, and anatomy knowledge; 1-3 years of MRI experience preferred.
