About the Role
Under the direction of the Manager and in association with the radiologists, the MRI technologist conducts themselves in a professional manner, responding to patient needs and supporting colleagues in providing quality patient care. The technologist performs services according to accepted standards of practice and must be able to work independently within the department.
Qualifications
Education
- Must be a graduate of an MRI accredited school or a graduate of an accredited radiology school.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- If the individual has a FL Certified Radiologic Technologist (General Radiographer qualifications) license, ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification is required within 1 year of hire.
- If the individual does not have a FL Certified Radiologic Technologist (General Radiographer qualifications) license, ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification is required.
- BLS certification.
Skills
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
