Schedule

• Hours: 24 flex, 32 hours per week
• Shift: Day shift options (8:00am – 8:30pm, 7:00am – 7:30pm, 6:00am – 2:30pm) with occasional evenings
• Every 3rd weekend, holiday, and call rotation

Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

Responsibilities

• Perform diversified clinical patient care, technical, and related duties within the MRI modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Radiology Clinical Services or designee.
• Assume responsibility for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure requests.
• Obtain pertinent information from the patient’s chart and document all data within the EHR.
• Educate the patient for the exam, position the patient, and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies.
• Identify, prepare, and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure.
• Select technical factors/parameters/sequences to produce quality images.
• Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality.
• Apply the principles of MR safety to minimize risk to the patient, self, and others, and be aware of the principles of ALARA.
• Assist physicians in performing procedures.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or Radiation Therapy and attainment of post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
• OR successful completion of an accredited program in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and attainment of primary certification from the ARRT, ARMRIT, or CAMRT within one year of eligibility.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Registration with the ARRT, ARMRIT, or CAMRT within one year of eligibility is required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying exemption once hired.

Pay

Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. Pay Range: USD $42.84 – USD $64.28 per hour.
