About the role
Responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce clinical diagnostic images as directed by physicians, performing routine procedures according to established standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and adjust MRI equipment; position and instruct patients; administer IV contrast media competency.
- Perform MRI procedures accurately and efficiently, coordinating schedules and assessing exam completion.
- Assist with staff and student training, orientation, and MRI class preparation.
- Maintain and document records for patient, equipment, and departmental data, ensuring compliance with accreditation and safety standards.
- Consult with radiologists and physicians on exam details and protocols; monitor patient condition during contrast injections.
- Research lab data and ensure proper IV access and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from a recognized radiologic or technical program.
- ARRT certification in Radiography; MR certification preferred.
- Within less than 1 year: thorough knowledge of radiologic and MRI terminology, anatomy, and procedures.
- Strong communication, visual acuity, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
