MRI Technologist
About the Role
As an MRI Technologist at Lee's Summit Medical Center, you will perform routine and specialized magnetic resonance imaging of organs, organ systems, and blood flow studies. You will present images and patient information/history to the Radiologist to ensure a comprehensive diagnostic report is available to the referring physician.
Responsibilities
- Compassionately assist and position patients.
- Start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
- Assess image quality and make adjustments as needed.
- Release patients with proper post-procedure instructions.
- Prepare and turn over the room using aseptic technique between patients, and clean/sterilize equipment.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school or college with a certificate or degree in Radiology Technology.
- American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) registered.
- ARRT MR preferred upon hire or must become registry-eligible for ARRT MR within 1 year of hire and complete the registry within 6 months following.
- BCLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
- 2-3 years of MRI experience preferred.
