MRI Technician, Mid-Shift 1-9P

Location: 200 South Orange Avenue, Livingston, NJ 07039

The anticipated hourly wage range for this position in New Jersey is $52.48 - $62.27. The compensation offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.

About the role

Performs MRI procedures at a technical level without requiring constant supervision. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes patient physical condition, age, and suspected pathology for proper technique
• Assists Radiologist in performing certain radiographic procedures
• Correctly marks images with time and body position
• Ensures patient comfort, physical and mental well-being during the examination
• Ensures that room is properly stocked with all needed supplies prior to the beginning of the procedure
• Explains procedures, keeps patient informed of progress, and assists patients in transferring on to/off examination table for procedures

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• ARRT required with CEU compliance
• American Registry of MRI Technologist (ARMRIT) accepted in conjunction with ARRT
• American Heart Association BLS Provider Certification

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience (preferred)

Schedule

• Full Time, Midshift
• Tuesday to Friday: 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm
• Saturday: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
