About the Role
Perform high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols to ensure diagnostic image quality and patient safety. Review patient history and screen for MRI safety compliance, including contraindications like implanted devices, metal, claustrophobia, and contrast allergies. Educate patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions to promote comfort and cooperation. Prepare and administer IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitor for adverse reactions. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.

- Experience/knowledge of computers/networking
- Follow departmental policies and procedures
- Maintain responsibility for all Hospital continuing and annual education
- Maintain required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures
- Follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding
- Perform MRI procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Deal efficiently, ethically, and courteously with all patients and hospital personnel
- Facilitate communication with medical personnel addressing the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-appropriate needs of the patient population served within the organization
Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent
- Completion of MRI training program (preferred)
Qualifications
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
- Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)ARRT)
- OR American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)

Schedule
Full time, Day shift. One call week required every 10 weeks. Work schedule: 3p- 11:30pm.
Pay
$27.41 - $50.99 per hour
