About the Role
Performs a variety of technical diagnostic examinations associated with the operation of MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images of any designated portion of the body.
Responsibilities
- Performs diagnostic imaging exams as ordered.
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets data within the scope of practice.
- Actively participates in the implementation of the Performance Improvement (PI) plan and completes assignments within allowed time constraints.
- Contributes to a non-discriminating, non-hostile environment and practices safety management.
- Respects hospital equipment and property, conducts self calmly during stressful situations, and protects patient information while maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements
- Previous MRI technologist or 2 years of radiological technologist experience preferred.
- Rad Tech license required; ARRT and LSRT licenses preferred.
- CPR certification.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, peers, and medical personnel.
- Ability to compute proper imaging techniques and contrast media administration.
- Emotional stability, resilience, adaptability to change, decisiveness, and foresight.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Requires staying in stationary positions as well as moving around and positioning oneself or equipment.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and risk of radiation.
- Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
- Occasionally transports items 20 pounds or more; frequently moves 1–20 pounds and pushes or pulls 20+ pounds.
- Continuous use of hands and fingers for positioning equipment.
