MRI Technologist, Full Time

Website: https://www.nnmc.com MRI Technologist Northern Nevada Medical Center is looking for a dynamic MRI Technologist! This position is full time, offers full benefits and a convenient flexible schedule. This individual will focus on high quality service and will be the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.

Responsibilities

• Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly
• Able to assess patient pain/claustrophobia interfering with imaging procedure - makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
• Performs MRI safety check on all patient and staff prior to entering the MRI room according to policy
• Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of burns and to patients

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, but not required.
• Two years of radiological/imaging experience.
• Prefer specific experience and training in MRI.
• Must become ARRT (MR) licensed within one year of employment (monitored by department supervisor).
• ARRT license required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Willing to take call / standby in MRI department and NNMC as needed.
