About the Role
Seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality imaging procedures using radio frequency waves and magnetic fields. The role involves operating MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images, preparing images and patient information for radiologists, and injecting contrast material. The technologist ensures patient comfort and safety, organizes materials, completes documentation, and maintains equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities
- Operate MRI equipment for diagnostic imaging per physician protocols
- Ensure patient comfort and safety
- Prepare images and patient data for radiologists
- Inject contrast material and maintain imaging room supplies
- Complete documentation and assist with entering reports
- Maintain image quality standards and assist colleagues as needed
- Knowledge of PACS and MRI reports is essential
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of ARRT-approved radiologic technology coursework
- BLS Certification from AHA or ARC
- Vast knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy
- Basic computer and administrative skills
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
- Travel capability with valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and clean MVR
Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have two years of MRI experience and registration as an MRI technologist.
