About the role
The MRI Patient Access Representative supports daily front desk operations for the imaging team at Panorama Orthopedics & Spine Center. This role involves scheduling appointments, completing registration, understanding payment expectations, and accessing medical records.
Responsibilities
- Schedule MRI, CT, follow-up, and X-ray-only appointments as needed.
- Absorb and assist patients with registration, paperwork, appointment questions, and check-in support.
- Verify insurance authorizations and follow up as needed to help patients access care in a timely manner.
- Create patient estimates and explain benefit information clearly and professionally.
- Collect patient balances before or at the time of service.
- Support the imaging team by using third-party systems to send and receive imaging studies from outside facilities.
- Prepare CDs for patients while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and medical release requirements.
- Provide courteous, timely service to patients, coworkers, supervisors, and physicians.
- Floated to other Panorama offices as needed.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Two years of medical office or customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of EMR systems, especially EPIC, is a plus.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA requirements is a plus.
- Strong computer, communication, interpersonal, hospitality, and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, remain calm under pressure, and work with minimal supervision.

Pay
$18-$21/hour, based on experience.
