About the Role
This position involves performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT) scans, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and organizational policies.
Responsibilities
- Review patient history and physician orders, educate patients about procedures, and handle scheduling.
- Prepare and administer contrast media or medications within scope, monitor patient conditions, and respond to changes.
- Set up equipment, select appropriate imaging parameters, perform safety checks, troubleshoot malfunctions, and ensure quality control.
- Position patients, perform imaging procedures, analyze results, resolve image quality issues, and report scan outcomes.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Registered (RT) with ARRT in MRI and CT; valid state licensure if required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.
