MRI Technologist

Role Overview The FT Registered MRI Tech performs diagnostic MRI procedures, ensuring safe, high-quality imaging tailored to patient needs. They set up equipment, position patients, and assist with exams, demonstrating independent judgment and technical proficiency. Key Responsibilities Obtain clinical history, assess contraindications, and ensure patient safety and privacy.Administer contrast media safely, review images for quality, and respond to emergencies.Operate MRI equipment, maintain cleanliness, and troubleshoot technical issues.Explain procedures to patients, address questions, and provide pre- and post-procedure care.Participate in quality control, documentation, and departmental support activities.Transport and prepare patients, restock supplies, and perform clerical duties as needed.Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and assist in training colleagues. Qualifications & Skills Completion of an accredited MRI program or ARRT-R certification.Current MRI Technologist certification and BLS certification.Minimum of 1 year clinical experience, preferably in MRI.Excellent communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.Ability to operate MRI systems, understand anatomy, and perform procedures safely.
