About the role
The Movement & Motivation Instructor plays a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience through fitness, yoga, meditation, and movement-based programming. This position requires a blend of instructional leadership and hands-on operational support.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead fitness, yoga, and meditation classes tailored to diverse guest needs.
- Ensure all classes adhere to safety guidelines and best practices.
- Support studio operations, including setup and breakdown of equipment.
- Engage guests in interactive sessions to promote wellness and personal growth.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to enhance overall guest experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Recreation, Athletic Administration, Physical Education, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in fitness, yoga, and/or meditation.
- Working knowledge of group fitness programming and safe movement practices.
- One or more current professional fitness certifications accredited by the NCCA (NASM, NSCA, ACE, ACSM, AFAA).
- Current American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in health and wellness disciplines, including fitness, yoga, and/or meditation.
- Certifications: One or more current professional fitness certifications.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and willingness to support programs across multiple wellness disciplines.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, kneeling, and squatting throughout scheduled shifts.
- Ability to get up and down from the floor repeatedly to demonstrate movements, assist with class setup, and support guest needs.
- Physical stamina to teach, demonstrate, and assist with multiple classes per shift, sometimes consecutively.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions associated with setting up, breaking down, and resetting studios.
- Comfortable working in varying studio environments, including warm, cool, and dimly lit spaces, depending on class modality.
- Capability to move efficiently between studios and program areas to support schedule flow and guest experience.
- Must be able to safely demonstrate proper body mechanics and movement principles during instruction.
