Responsibilities

  • Apply ABA therapy methods and techniques to teach important life skills and help children and teens achieve their goals
  • Carry out ABA behavioral treatment plans and help prepare individuals to eventually transition to other residential environments
  • Provide assistance with activities such as personal hygiene, social awareness, meal preparation, money management, and housekeeping
  • Empower children to develop skills for daily life
  • Encourage their independence through personalized plans of care
  • Plan events and outings to build the Bancroft community
  • Belong to a supportive team that holds one another accountable
  • Communicate with residents, families, and guardians

Requirements

All Compassionate Team Members Must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Have a current, non-provisional, non-probationary driver’s license in good standing
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED
  • Work well in teams and be open to learning new skills
  • Have the ability and willingness to work weekends

Direct Support Professionals in Residential Programs:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in a related field preferred; for more acute programs, required
  • Current college students or recent graduates desired

ABA Direct Support Associates:

  • Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment with a minimum of 60 credits toward a degree in Special Education, Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field

Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA):

  • Master’s degree with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field, plus a minimum of two years of related experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, required
  • BCBA certification required
  • New Jersey licensure in behavior analysis is required
  • A PhD in a related discipline is desirable
  • Prior experience in functional assessment and treatment development is highly preferred
  • Prior management experience is also preferred

LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse):

  • Licensed Practical Nurse from an accredited Nursing program with a current and valid N.J. license required
  • Prior nursing experience working with the developmentally disabled and/or the traumatically brain injured preferred

Pay

  • Direct Support Professionals: $19.19 - $19.58/hr plus differential
  • ABA Direct Support Associates: $22.32 - $22.74/hr plus differential
  • Licensed Behavior Analyst: $80,340 - $94,666
  • LPN: $25.21 - $35.27

Schedule

Direct Support Professionals:

  • 40 hours: Sunday 7am-9pm, Monday 2pm-10pm, Tuesday 2pm-10pm, Thursday 12pm-10pm
  • 40 hours: Tuesday 12pm-10pm, Thursday 2pm-10pm, Friday 2pm-10pm, Saturday 7am-9pm

ABA Direct Support Associates:

  • 40 hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am
  • 40 hours: Friday-Tuesday, 3pm-11pm
  • 40 hours: Friday-Monday, 9pm-7am
