About the role
The Winder Apprenticeship provides the opportunity to learn a trade while also working towards a certification at no cost to the apprentice. Trane Technologies will pay for hours worked within the Charlotte facility and hours completed during course lessons at CPCC. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to learn a trade and get in with one of the largest HVAC companies globally.
This position is scheduled for 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Charlotte, NC manufacturing site.
Responsibilities
- Complete apprenticeship program which includes:
- Successful completion of 7 courses through CPCC while maintaining strong academic performance standards (minimum GPA required: 2.5)
- Complete required training hours related to:
- Foundational Production Support
- Assembly & Material Preparation Skills
- Documentation & Specification Reading
- Testing and Inspection Support
- Finishing, Baking & Equipment Handling
- Successful completion of EASA: How to Wind Three-Phase Stators online course
- Follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) rules and safe work practices
- Participate in safety programs and required training
- Maintain punctuality, reliability, and adherence to work rules
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Enrollment in or completion of vocational training, technical education, or apprenticeship-related coursework preferred
- Prior manufacturing, assembly, mechanical, or electrical exposure preferred
- Ability to work in an industrial production environment
- Physical ability to lift materials and perform repetitive manual tasks
- Ability to learn and progress in a competency-based apprenticeship structure
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 40 lbs as required by job duties
Pay
Hourly base pay: $20.00
