Schedule
3rd Shift, Sunday - Thursday 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
Essential Functions
- Operate the Moto Cell to weld steel square tubes and other components.
- Load steel shafts via conveyor into the machine and weld bases, hand hole rims, and other components.
- Monitor the quality of incoming steel shafts and determine when material is substandard.
- Perform GMAW (MIG) welding using welding equipment.
- Adjust welding equipment to prescribed settings and operate oxy/acetylene burning equipment.
- Use IFS labor reporting system, standard shop forms, move tags, and read blueprints.
- Weld, hammer, grind, and use various tools.
Important Details About The Role
- Pass an AWS welder operator qualification test for GMAW processes.
- Make mathematical calculations in preparing products or setting up machinery.
- Bend, pivot, lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
- Operate orbecome certified in operating a forklift and overhead crane.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate
- Minimum of 3+ years welding experience.
- Ability to read and decipher blueprints and flat sheets without assistance.
- Pass an AWS welder level 3 assessment.
- Make mathematical calculations in preparing products or setting up machinery.
- Bend, pivot, lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
- Previous experience as a Moto Operator Helper.
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications
- Welding certification at level B test.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Pass an AWS welder operator qualification test for GMAW processes.
- Basic programming and set up of PLC controlled machinery, trouble shooting, and operators' maintenance of equipment.
- Previous experience as a Moto Operator.
