Compensation

$28.57 per hour (+$2/hr. shift differential)

Schedule

3rd Shift, Sunday - Thursday 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.

Essential Functions

  • Operate the Moto Cell to weld steel square tubes and other components.
  • Load steel shafts via conveyor into the machine and weld bases, hand hole rims, and other components.
  • Monitor the quality of incoming steel shafts and determine when material is substandard.
  • Perform GMAW (MIG) welding using welding equipment.
  • Adjust welding equipment to prescribed settings and operate oxy/acetylene burning equipment.
  • Use IFS labor reporting system, standard shop forms, move tags, and read blueprints.
  • Weld, hammer, grind, and use various tools.

Important Details About The Role

  • Pass an AWS welder operator qualification test for GMAW processes.
  • Make mathematical calculations in preparing products or setting up machinery.
  • Bend, pivot, lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Operate orbecome certified in operating a forklift and overhead crane.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Required Qualifications of Every Candidate

  • Minimum of 3+ years welding experience.
  • Ability to read and decipher blueprints and flat sheets without assistance.
  • Pass an AWS welder level 3 assessment.
  • Make mathematical calculations in preparing products or setting up machinery.
  • Bend, pivot, lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Previous experience as a Moto Operator Helper.

Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications

  • Welding certification at level B test.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Pass an AWS welder operator qualification test for GMAW processes.
  • Basic programming and set up of PLC controlled machinery, trouble shooting, and operators' maintenance of equipment.
  • Previous experience as a Moto Operator.
