About the role
Summit Credit Union, voted number one employer by WSJ and top ten by Madison Magazine, has an exciting opportunity to join our mortgage team as a Mortgage Loan Officer- Fond du Lac.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal, customized financial services to potential members and members of the credit union.
- Serve as a trusted financial advisor through recommending solutions toward improving their financial situation.
- Originate investment quality loans while meeting the needs of the entire membership.
- Build trustworthy relationships with branch staff and lending processors.
- Plan and participate in real estate business development activities of the credit union.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have the equivalent of an associates degree in finance or business related field.
- A minimum of five years mortgage lending experience in a retail financial environment, customer focused with sales experience.
- Experience with loan products, such as 1st mortgages, 2nd mortgages, WHEDA, construction loans and loan processing.
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills required.
- Must be able to attain a NMLS.
