About the role
Rogue Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative in the Rogue Valley, Oregon. The role involves interviewing mortgage loan applicants, processing loans, maintaining member records, and promoting the Credit Union.
Responsibilities
- Interviews mortgage loan applicants in person or by telephone and explains loan options, rates, terms and collateral requirements.
- Inputs loan applications into the computer and provides initial loan disclosures.
- Maintains member records and prepares files/member documents with the highest level of confidentiality and accuracy.
- Consistently communicates with members, realtors and support staff regularly on all loans files when applicable.
- Willingly and actively returns calls to members including mortgage transfer calls from Member Contact Center, internal branch referrals, and all other call leads as assigned.
- Promptly responds to members' requests, questions, and concerns by finding the appropriate solution. Assists members as quickly as possible and assists walk-in members whenever possible.
- Makes weekly realtor contacts (in-person and phone contact) to promote future business and external referrals to the Credit Union to include phone calls, in-person meetings, office presentations and realtor networking events.
- Promotes a culture of deepening participation by effectively and actively cross selling Credit Union products and services to meet each member's needs as discovered on member's credit report or interview with member.
- Collaborates and assists with other departments/branches to maintain unsurpassed service across all areas of the Credit Union. Cultivates a team environment at all times.
- Proactively performs other duties as needed or assigned. Assists with Home Equity loans and branch team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.
- Education: A high school education or GED.
- Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
- Other Skills: Good communication and listening skills; able to operate a 10-key calculator and computer skills.
Knowledge and Skills
