Mortgage Consultant- Outbound Team
About the role
The Mortgage Consultant is responsible for originating a variety of different types of loans, focusing on servicing existing customers and first-time homebuyers. This role involves engaging with consumers, determining their needs, offering appropriate products, managing a loan pipeline from application to closing, and ensuring compliance with federal and state lending regulations.
Responsibilities
- Respond to company-provided leads via phone from internet, direct mail campaigns, referrals, or other special marketing campaigns.
- Determine consumer needs and offer appropriate products.
- Manage loan pipelines from application to closing, collaborating with underwriting, processing, and other teams to ensure timely and accurate loan approvals.
- Obtain necessary information to close loans, including credit reports, income verification, and appraisals.
- Avoid non-compliance with federal and state lending regulations, maintaining accurate and compliant documentation.
- Provide superior customer service.
- Maintain compliance with the Newrez Code of Conduct.
- Perform related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Origination experience in the mortgage or banking industry required.
- Active NMLS license.
- A solid understanding of appraisals, title reports, and product guidelines.
- Maintain mortgage licenses by completing mandatory annual continuing education.
- Experience utilizing persuasive communication skills and inside sales experience preferred.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
- Ability to connect with borrowers, friendly demeanor, and customer service orientation.
- Proficiency with loan origination systems (H2O), CRM platforms (Salesforce), and communication tools (Microsoft Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to maintain high levels of communication and urgency, including returning voicemails within 24 hours.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and demonstrates careful decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional communication skills.

Pay
A Good Faith Estimate of the compensation is $15,080.00 - $60,000.00. Compensation for this position may also include other elements, including medical, financial, various paid time off benefits, and a bonus based on individual and company performance, variable or annual.
