Mortgage Consultant- Outbound Team

About the role

The Mortgage Consultant originates a variety of different types of loans focusing on servicing existing customers and first-time homebuyers. Responsibilities include responding to company-provided leads, engaging with consumers, obtaining necessary information for loan closings, and ensuring compliance with lending regulations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to company-provided leads via phone
• Engage with consumers, determine their needs, and offer appropriate products
• Manage loan pipelines from application to closing
• Obtain all necessary information to close loans, including credit reports, income verification, and appraisals
• Adequately document adherence to federal and state lending regulations
• Provide superior customer service
• Meet individual monthly sales goals
• Stay informed of industry trends
• Maintain compliance with the Newrez Code of Conduct

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2+ years’ origination experience in the mortgage or banking industry
• Active NMLS license
• Solid understanding of appraisals, title reports, and product guidelines
• Experience with loan origination systems (H2O), CRM platforms (Salesforce), and communication tools (Microsoft Outlook, Teams)

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

• Ability to connect with borrowers, friendly demeanor, and customer service orientation
• Proficiency with loan origination systems, CRM platforms, and communication tools
• Ability to maintain high levels of communication and urgency, including returning voicemails within 24 hours
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Professional communication skills
