180 Engineering is seeking an engineering professional for a direct-hire opportunity with a client in the West Lafayette, IN area. This role offers the chance to apply your technical expertise in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement engineering solutions to improve manufacturing processes and product quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues and optimize workflow efficiency
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including process specifications, work instructions, and quality control procedures
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles and data-driven analysis
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure material specifications and delivery timelines meet production requirements
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production non-conformances
• Support new product introductions by developing manufacturing processes and tooling requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field)
• 3+ years of hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Proven track record of process improvement and project management from concept through implementation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with production teams, management, and clients
• Ability to work onsite in West Lafayette, IN
