Moreno Valley USD In Person Tutor 26'

HeyTutor has partnered with a school district in Moreno Valley to hire 87 English & Math tutors who will assist Elementary and Middle School students after school hours. You’ll work with students in grades K–8, helping them catch up from learning gaps developed over the past school year. A clear in-person background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Work with groups of students without on-site teacher support
• Prepare the tutoring area before each session
• Pick up and drop off students from designated school areas when needed
• Take attendance and deliver lessons via the HeyTutor Dashboard
• Document student progress in the HeyTutor Dashboard
• Administer baseline and summative assessments as requested
• Lead tutoring sessions using provided curriculum and materials
• Create an engaging, inclusive environment that fosters belonging
• Support students in making positive behavior choices
• Engage alongside students during tutoring lessons
• Clock in and out daily using Deputy
• Perform any other duties assigned by the company, manager, or school site

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in college or have completed an AA, BA, or higher
• Prior tutoring experience and comfort working with children
• Ability to tutor Middle School Math and ELA
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting
• Clear FBI-DOJ background check (provided by HeyTutor)

Pay

Pay is based on a combination of education and experience and will be determined during the interview.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8 PM–12 AM (15 hours per week). Hours may vary slightly.
