Moreno Valley USD In Person Tutor 25'

JOB INFORMATION

HeyTutor has partnered with a school district in Moreno Valley and is seeking 87 English & Math tutors for Elementary and Middle School students after school hours. Tutors will work with students aged K-8th grade, assisting with catching up from learning gaps.

JOB DUTIES

• Working with groups of students without teacher or school site support
• Preparing the tutoring area
• Picking up and dropping off students from designated areas in school sites
• Taking attendance and running lessons through HeyTutor Dashboard (if applicable)
• Documenting student progress with HeyTutor Dashboard
• Facilitating students taking and completing baseline and summative assessments when requested by manager
• Leading a group of students in tutoring sessions, using provided curriculum and materials
• Creating an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging
• Supporting students in making positive behavior choices
• Engaging and interacting with tutoring lessons alongside students
• Daily clocking in and out of Deputy for shifts
• Performing any other duties as required by the Company, manager, or school site

REQUIREMENTS

• Enrolled in college or completed an AA, BA, or higher degree
• Tutoring experience (excellent with kids)
• Comfortable tutoring Middle School Math & ELA
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting
• Cleared FBI-DOJ background check (provided by HeyTutor)

SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday: 3PM - 6PM (15 hours per week)

PAY

Pay depends on a combination of education and experience and will be determined at the time of the interview.
