Moreno Valley USD In Person Tutor 25' - 26'

JOB INFORMATION

HeyTutor has partnered with a school district in Moreno Valley and is seeking 69 Math tutors for elementary school students during school hours. Tutors will work with students from K-5th grade, assisting with catching up from learning gaps.

JOB DUTIES

• Working with groups of students without teacher or school site support
• Preparing the area for tutoring sessions
• Picking up and dropping off students from designated areas in the school site
• Taking attendance and running lessons through the HeyTutor Dashboard (if applicable)
• Documenting student progress using the HeyTutor Dashboard
• Facilitating students taking and completing baseline and summative assessments when requested by the manager
• Leading a group of students in tutoring sessions, using provided curriculum and materials
• Creating an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging among students
• Supporting students in making positive behavior choices
• Engaging and interacting with tutoring lessons alongside students
• Daily clocking in and out using Deputy for shifts
• Performing any other duties as required by the company, manager, or school site

REQUIREMENTS

• Enrolled in college or have completed an AA, BA, or higher degree
• Tutoring experience (excellent with kids)
• Comfortable tutoring Middle School Math & ELA
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting
• Cleared FBI-DOJ background check (provided by HeyTutor)

SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday: 3PM - 6PM (15 hours per week)

PAY

Pay varies based on education and experience and will be determined at the time of interview.
