About the Role

The Territory Training & Sales Manager (TTSM) is a customer service-oriented individual with a passion for helping people with hearing loss. This in-the-field, full-time position involves installing and training customers—primarily seniors—in their homes on ClearCaptions equipment and service. The role is 90% installations and 10% community relationship-building and lead generation. This is a remote/work-from-home position reporting to the Regional Sales Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Install the ClearCaptions Phone and/or other products, connecting them to customers’ existing services.
  • Educate customers on how to use the phone and its features.
  • Establish relationships with retirement communities and senior groups in your local market.
  • Create, attend, and educate consumers at senior events and other community events.
  • Build relationships with and educate hearing professionals on ClearCaptions’ caption telephone services.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of equipment and supplies to service customers.
  • Create lead-generation activities and generate referrals.
  • Adapt to new responsibilities and opportunities as needed.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with assigned customers in your sales territory.
  • Actively participate in local senior, hard-of-hearing organizations, events, and trade shows.
  • Maintain customer and territory records using Salesforce and other provided tools.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Outside sales experience (B2B and/or B2C).
  • Sales experience or other work with seniors preferred.
  • Experience in the hearing health field is beneficial.
  • Valid driver’s license and personal automobile.
  • Ability to travel extensively by car in the assigned region and by air occasionally.
  • Work from a local home office equipped with high-speed internet.
  • Proficient computer skills and basic internet use.
  • Comfortable working with seniors and disabled persons.
  • Willing and available to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Excellent people and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills; able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a results-driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to use discretion, make sound decisions, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in MS Office and modern communication tools for virtual teams (e.g., MS Teams).

Pay

Earning range: $75,000–$80,000 with uncapped upside. Base salary: $45,000.

Physical Demands

  • Primary functions require clear communication over the phone and in person with individuals suffering from hearing loss.
  • Travel to customer homes, hearing healthcare providers, and senior event sites (primarily local, with occasional out-of-state travel).
  • Extended periods of sitting, standing, walking (95–100%), keyboarding (70–90%), and close vision for computer/tablet/cell phone use (70–90%).
  • May lift or move boxes up to 10 pounds.

Work Environment

100% remote/work-from-home. Work is primarily indoors at home, customer sites, healthcare provider offices, or senior event locations. Exposure to varying weather and temperature conditions during travel, as well as hazardous driving and traffic conditions.
