About the role

This position is for a Monitoring and Compliance Lead within the Healthcare Innovations team, focused on federal health program implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, particularly related to CMS and CMMI initiatives. The role emphasizes technical rigor, collaboration, and ethical standards in public health research and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in designing monitoring frameworks, performance metrics, and analytic strategies for large-scale projects.
• Lead complex implementation and monitoring efforts, ensuring federal compliance and high-quality delivery.
• Oversee project planning, data protocols, stakeholder engagement, and reporting structures.
• Contribute to model testing, real-time monitoring, and rapid learning efforts.
• Collaborate with data teams to connect indicators to data sources and develop dashboards.
• Support business development through proposal development and maintain federal client relationships.
• Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative, inclusive work environment.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Economics, Health Services Research, or related field with 7+ years of experience, or Master’s with 11+ years.
• Experience leading large projects, especially in CMS implementation, monitoring, or evaluation.
• Deep knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid policies, claims data, and federal program operations.
• Strong monitoring expertise, leadership skills, strategic thinking, and excellent communication.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and possess relevant federal project experience.

Pay

$147,600 - $196,800
