Monitor Technician - Part Time - Rotating Schedule

Position Summary

Operates patient monitoring equipment, provides accurate, continuous surveillance of designated patient parameters, assesses functioning, provides basic troubleshooting of equipment, and collects and stores data.

Special Equipment, Skills Or Other Requirements

• Experience reading monitors or EKGs is strongly preferred.
• Successfully completes Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Monitor Technician orientation program or the equivalent.

Work Environment And Hazards

• Clinical setting.
• Exposure class I - Routine or potential exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions, or secretions.

Physical Demands

• Sedentary work: Sit for extended periods of time, light physical work, vision, and physical dexterity adequate to accurately do role.

Supervised By

• Designated RN, Unit Manager, Clinical Coordinator

Pay Range

• $18.75 - $25.65

Rotating Shift Description 7:00am - 7:30pm & 7:00pm - 7:30am The schedule includes working a weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Courses in physical science and previous medical/cardiac/EKG training are desirable.

Pay

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
