Overview
This is a part-time, night shift (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM, 2 shifts per week) Monitor Technician position at Arnett Hospital. The schedule includes a rotation of every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), rotating holidays, and flex days with self-scheduling so you can request your preferred shifts. Job Description
Responsible for the cardiac monitoring of patients including those with technological support (i.e., pacemakers, AICD). Documents changes in rhythm and reports these changes according to established protocol.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia course; anatomy and physiology courses and/or related courses
- Current Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
- Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
- Thorough knowledge of arrhythmia recognition
- Good visual acuity and sustained concentration to effectively observe cardiac rhythms on CRTs
- Basic computer skills
Qualifications
- Previous experience with telemetry monitoring or related field is preferred
