Monitor Technician, DOU, Full-Time, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

About the role

Provides cardiac monitoring for patients of assigned department under the direction of the RN and Physician. Performs duties necessary to maintain the flow of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitors patients' cardiac activity using equipment under RN and Physician supervision
• Communicates with RN and Physician regarding patient status
• Maintains a smooth flow of patient care by performing necessary tasks

Requirements

• Written and verbal communication skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Basic organizational skills
• Basic computer skills
• Basic EKG interpretation skills
• Demonstrates team member abilities

Qualifications

• Successful completion of EKG Dysrhythmia interpretation or Monitor Tech course and/or Certificate
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association

Skills

• Basic knowledge of medical terminology
• Prior hospital/healthcare experience (preferred)
