Monitor Technician (6W)

Centinela Hospital Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Monitor Tech to join its award-winning team. Responsibilities

• Performs indirect care in the department setting by monitoring cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors.
• Meets the communication needs of the department.
• Transcribes physician orders in the absence of CPOE and EMR clinical documentation system.
• Verifies that lab and radiology tests have been ordered and completed.
• Prepares and compiles records in the unit.
• Orders supplies for the unit and completes each patient’s chart with necessary forms on a daily basis.
• Assists nursing staff with indirect patient care duties, provided the activity does not distract from primary responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current certification in basic arrhythmias, dysrhythmia, ECG, EKG, or Monitor Tech upon hire.
• Current BCLS (ARC or AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained current.
• Six (6) months previous experience as a Monitor Technician preferred.
• Completion of Violence in the Workplace prevention training within 90 days of hire.

Pay

The current compensation range for this role is $25.70 to $28.03. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors including skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
