Monitor Tech/Clerk - Virtual Integrated Care

About the role

The Monitor Tech/Clerk position at Cabell Huntington Hospital is a dual role within the Virtual Integrated Care Department. The primary purpose of this role can be either to monitor the central telemetry station and document arrhythmias or to provide clerical and receptionist duties to the nursing unit.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate documentation of arrhythmias in accordance with hospital policies if assigned as Monitor Tech.
• Support nursing by reducing the time nurses spend monitoring patient heart rhythms if assigned as Monitor Tech.
• Provide clerical and receptionist duties to the nursing unit if assigned as Unit Clerk.
• Ensure customer service is provided by being courteous, introducing oneself by name and job title, and demonstrating honesty, discretion, and confidentiality.
• Follow hospital standards of conduct, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations, and report violations through the appropriate chain of command.
• Report safety concerns and hazardous conditions promptly and appropriately.
