Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Exemplify the Amcor Behaviors and Values at all times.
- Lead by example and exhibit professionalism in all areas when representing Amcor.
- Work in a professional manner with other mold technicians and maintenance personnel.
- Set up machines for operation, change material and color to meet production schedules.
- Must have a technical understanding of process and raw materials used.
- Keep supervisor/management informed of all problems.
- Startup machines in a timely manner and monitor quality at start up.
- Complete Line Clearance documentation and procedure after completion of each job.
- Make appropriate adjustments to machines to maintain efficient production levels and document appropriately.
- Perform mold repairs, insert changes, and preventative maintenance as required.
- Respond to Quality Assurance Techs by adjusting machines to maintain appropriate sizes and standards.
- Oversee proper packaging procedures.
- Review production schedules and ensure machines are running production to meet customer demands.
- Respond promptly to alarms and/or requests for assistance to correct machine malfunctions and/or Packer/Handler problems.
- Use proper Lockout/tagout procedures.
- Cookordinate with Quality Assurance and Maintenance Departments concerning machine operations and malfunctions.
- Inspect scrap to prevent any usable product from being ground and record scrap numbers.
- Able to effectively perform the Packer/Handler job to assist with relief breaks.
- Assist with Material Handling as needed.
- Keep the floor stocked with materials required for production (fitments/handles/labels/tape, etc.).
- Ensure a smooth transition between shifts.
Qualifications
