ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintains production requirements and quality standards.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety of the worksite.
- Solves product problems and implements corrective actions.
- Achieves Quality Management System (QMS) goals.
- Performs production line adjustments as needed.
- Completes required forms and paperwork.
- Trains associates in machine processes and problem solving.
- Loads, unloads trucks and moves materials.
- Verifies quantities, lot numbers, labels and correctness of parts.
- Notifies materials control of discrepancies.
- Organizes and manages stock to optimize usage.
- Checks locations and counts for accuracy.
- Ensures materials are used in the correct sequence.
- Oversees vendor sort and customer complaint issues.
- May perform miscellaneous jobs in shipping and receiving.
- May maintain location of material in racks in PC.
- Takes on intermediate levels of safety responsibility.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
- Serves as a member of various committees as needed.
- Repairs minor machine problems.
- Temporarily fills in for absentees on production lines.
- Fulfills safety responsibilities for employees, building, plant and grounds.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s degree or previous supervisory experience preferred.
- 2 – 4 years experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of blueprints, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Quality System (QS), Quality One (Q1), ISO, and TS.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS
- Office environment with noise from computer peripherals.
- Factory environment with noise from manufacturing equipment.
- Exposure to moving equipment, parts, and electrical shock.
- Possibility of serious injury due to carelessness around equipment.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, or moving of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
