Molding Supervisor - 3rd Shift

About the Role

This is a responsible supervisory and technical position involving advanced expertise in supervision, administration of a departmental shift for injection molding and assembly of component plastic parts. The role ensures compliance with and enforcement of company policies as outlined in the Team Member Handbook.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs injection molding activities of classifications assigned to the molding area.
• Directs, instructs, and trains new and promoted employees; monitors, evaluates, and corrects employee performance and behavior as necessary.
• Ensures proper training of all hourly employees assigned to decoration activities, including safe operation of machines.
• Investigates and implements disciplinary actions in accordance with corporate personnel policies and procedures.
• Audits and records quality and productivity of subordinates.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable departmental and corporate policies and procedures; enforces company rules and regulations.
• Plans, coordinates, and regulates workflow throughout the department in accordance with SLMS.
• Coordinates, assists, and reviews problems and changes with supervisors on other shifts; collaborates with other departments to ensure quality, productivity, and inspection procedures meet requirements.
• Participates in company programs such as communications, job training, and vacation scheduling.
• Prepares reports, memos, schedules, and other supporting documentation as necessary.
• Ensures all daily process checks are completed accurately.
• Complies with environmental health and safety systems.
• Uses Root Cause problem-solving techniques to resolve and prevent repeat quality issues.
• Completes housekeeping checklists.
• Performs other duties as required or directed.

Requirements

• One year of related experience in a leadership role.
• Ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.
• Ability to train others for routine positions.
• Minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (20 on the Cognitive portion).
• Agreement to complete all post-hire required training.

This position typically does not require any travel.
