About the role

Build the Foundation of Every Casting At Wabash Castings, every quality casting starts with a quality mold. As a member of our Mold Deck Crew, you'll play a critical role in preparing molds for the casting process by placing cores, inspecting components, and ensuring every mold is ready for molten aluminum.

Responsibilities

• Set sand cores into molds with precision using both hand tools and core-setting equipment
• Inspect molds and cores to ensure quality before casting
• Install filters and prepare molds for production
• Remove excess sand using air wands and drill arms
• Identify quality concerns and communicate them to your supervisor
• Follow work instructions and safety procedures
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications

• At least one year of manufacturing experience
• A high school diploma or GED
• Work well with others and communicate effectively
• Pay attention to detail and take pride in quality work
• Follow written work instructions
• Enjoy physical, hands-on work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
